Getting to Atami

Atami is a city of Shizuoka Prefecture, located between Tokyo and Osaka. With more than 6 million Japanese tourists visiting Atami each year, it is renowned as a resort area to help city dwellers relax and unwind. Atami is conveniently located just 40 minutes by bullet train from Tokyo, enabling easy side trips from the capital. Attractions include the sea and mountains, numerous hot springs, mountain passes that provide stunning views of Mount Fuji, as well as the chance to sample sushi, expertly made from freshly caught fish. Fuji, Izu and Shonan can also be enjoyed by boats departing Atami Port for Hatsushima Island, just 25 minutes away. Atami boasts breathtaking views of Mt.
